Ashley House is a magnificent Italianate Villa which was built in 1876 by timber merchant, Washington Spence as his own home. It comprises six bedrooms, (one en-suite), two bathrooms, two receptions, kitchen with dining room, utility room and wine cellar. There are beautiful south-facing gardens and terraces with views to Ripon Cathedral.
In 2007 Ashley House was carefully restored to its former glory by Mango Homes. The restoration project was covered on the TV programme BBC Homes Live. The house was featured in March 2008 Yorkshire Life Magazine and appeared in the Sunday Times.
